Research Project Guidelines
Overview
1. A candidate shall be required to prepare a Research Project under the direction of a Supervisor assigned by the Research Project Coordinator of the Institute of Education and Professional Development and approved by the Board of Examiners of the Institute.
2. The Research Project shall be the candidate’s original contribution to knowledge or practice in the candidate’s field.
3. Every Research Project shall normally be written in English. In cases where it is to be written in another language, a version of the Abstract, in English, shall be provided (single-spaced).
4. A Research Project shall be accompanied by an Abstract of not more than three hundred (350) words written in one block paragraph.
5. All Research Projects shall conform to the following guidelines:

A. Copies shall be bound in the approved colour (Deep Green) for the Postgraduate Diploma in Education programme in the Institute.
B. The title and names on the cover shall be in gold letters with the first name, middle name(s), and Surname, in that order. Only the title, name of the author, and month/year are expected on the cover.
C. Candidate’s full name and Title of Certificate (abbreviated) are to be printed on the bound spine of the Research Project.
D. All copies shall be in double-spaced type on one side of A4 paper.
E. The margin on each sheet shall not be less than 30mm on the left-hand side, 25mm at the bottom.
F. The cover sheet shall carry the same information as the cover in (b) above.
