Admission Requirement
Requirement 1.
All candidates for the Postgraduate Diploma in Education must be holders of recognized First Degree in relevant teaching subject from the University of Uyo or any other University recognized by the Senate of the University of Uyo. In addition, candidates should possess Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least credit passes in five subjects including English Language.
Requirement 2.
A holder of Higher National Diploma (HND) in any of the teaching subjects obtained at credit level may also be considered for admission provided the University’s matriculation requirements are met as in item (1) above
Requirement 3.
Candidates with Third Class Degree with three years teaching experience may also be considered for admission provided they meet University’s matriculation requirements.

Other admission requirements are indicated in the specific programmes of the Institute, such as the SPGDE and PGDET programmes
